Packaging Design and Validation

DGP can test your existing packaging or design new packaging solutions to meet the UN regulations for transporting infectious and diagnostic samples.

Pressure Test Validation

DGP are able to test your primary or secondary containers and receptacles with the hydraulic pressure test/internal pressure test (IATA approved test method), or vacuum pressure test (ADR approved test method) to ensure it withstands the 95kPa internal pressure required to transport diagnostic and infectious specimens.

DGP Group - Validation

Temperature Validation

Due to the temperature changes experienced during transportation, specimen integrity is often compromised. DGP offer a comprehensive temperature performance validating service to ensure your sample arrives at its destination in an acceptable testing condition.

During the validation process, the temperature and time-lines of customer specific shipments are replicated and the packaging is performance tested.

All the associated equipment utilised by DGP during this validating process is UKAS calibrated and accredited.

Packaging Design and Development

DGP will work with you and your client to design, develop and manufacture a packaging solution to suit your specific project needs. The packaging developed will be compliant with UN regulations and all marking and labelling requirements met regardless of your sample’s country origin or destination guidelines.

Our Product Development Team will expertly manage the project and our Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) will advise and guide you through all aspects of your specimen transport packaging issues.

DGP’s quality-driven operations and QMS (Quality Management System) ensures all our packaging is designed with consideration to the following criteria:

  • UN regulatory requirements
  • Specimen integrity
